Yamaneko-Ryu Karate was started in 1985 in Durban KZN, in 2001 it relocated to Fish Hoek Cape Town.

Our chief Instructor has over 30yrs experience in Karate with a 2nd Dan black belt in Goju-Ryu Sewei-Kai Karate, 3rd Dan Black Belt in Kyokushin Karate & a 3rd Dan Black Belt in Shotokan Karate. He currently holds Natal Provincial Colours, Springbok Colours for Karate and has won many medals for Kumite and Kata throughout his years in competing in Championships.

Yamaneko-Ryu teaches Traditional Shotokan Karate under the guidance of United Shotokan-Ryu Karate Association.
