This is the Pretoria branch of Karate-Do International (SA), which is a traditional Goju Ruyu karate school. We are affiliated to the Jun Do Kan in Okinawa, which is the origin of Goju Ryu Karate Do, through our chief instructor, Kancho Rony Kluger (9th dan).
We practice traditional Goju Ryu karate, which is a close quarter fighting art. It is suitable for both male and female participants of all ages.
That said, our minimum age for enrolment in karate is 8 years. Participant younger than that will be enrolled in the Ninjastics group (see below)

It incorporates Ninjastics for children ages 5 - 8. Ninjastics is a range of exercises based on the movements and techniques found in traditional karate-do. It comprises stances, steps, arm and leg movements, but it is taught in a FUN way instead of as a fighting art.
Ninjastics is primarily aimed at children between the ages of 5 to 8. As there is not much partnerwork involved, there is no risk of size mismatching and injury.
It is taught by and under the supervision of internationally qualified instructors, who have been involved in working with children for more than 20 years.
