FitTheniX is aimed at educating the general public about the benefits of bodyweight training as a way of addressing a lack of access to affordable training facilities. There is a huge percentage of the population that recognizes the benefits of exercise but due to budget and time constraints are unable to maintain active lifestyles. I address this need by offering short high intensity calisthenics classes in the independent public realm. I am also in the process of starting a calisthenics club to ignite an interest in high intensity, functional and dynamic movement. I am on a personal crusade to educate and equip the public with tools to combat diseases associated with sedentary lifestyles. Preventive medicine is the best medicine. In addition to calisthenics I also practice gymnastics and incline sprint training. The FitTheniX brand is centered on using the urban environment (specifically urban parks) as a source of cost effective training regimes. I have a history of high intensity weight training and what I discovered was that body weight training has greater metabolic benefits with lower risks of injury which makes it ideal for various age and fitness groups.
