Tiny Bakers started baking classes in Centurion for age groups 3-5, 6 to 11, and 12-15 years old. When moms want to spend some quality time with their children, we have classes where they mom or dad bake with their child. The prices of the baking classes range between R280 and R380 per child attending. Moms or Dads pay R100 for attending and participating in their little one's baking. We are doing fun things like our chocolate cake and Mother's day cakes, Father's day pirate cupcakes or cooking classes- advertised on our website, as well as various children's activities websites. We do Baking classes for children from 3 years and older at nursery schools.
As we all know, little ones love baking. Baking is not only a way for parents and children to enjoy quality time together, but a wonderful way to stimulate children's sensory and many other skills. When we bake muffins or scones, we have to mix butter with flour for example-when your child does this, the finger muscles are strenghthened -this is something that is necessary for writing in school one day. How many children know how plants grow, or what a sweet potato plant looks like? during our lessons we take a vegetable, for example sweet potato to class. We take a growing sweet potato plant and take several types of sweet potatoes with. The children will touch the leaves, see the colours and learn that a plant needs water and sun to grow. We will then use the sweet potato to bake muffins, and the children will eat the muffin they made.
