My name is Janet, and I have been cooking professionally for the past 25 years! I enjoy every bit of cooking that I do, right down to the last detail, and I would love to share my love and passion for cooking, baking and everything else, with you. I have run a catering business, a restaurant, a coffee shop and canteens, as well as baking - birthday cakes, breads, iced biscuits and many more beautiful creations.
I believe the time has come for me to share my many years of experience, and tried, tested and trusted recipes, tips and guidelines with anyone who has the passion to do so.
I have so much to offer and share, and we are currently running the following courses:
1. Kiddies cooking parties, incl masterchef themes - this is a hands-on cooking class for kiddies from 5 to 12 years, where they prepare their very own 2-course meal in a professional kitchen either a starter and main or main and dessert. Other options (in place of dessert) icing cupcakes or biscuit icing fun.
2. Cooking and Baking Master Class - This hands-on course covers the full spectrum of either starting from scratch in the kitchen, or refreshing your knowledge and covers kitchen safety, food hygiene, working with weights and measures and reading/understanding recipes, as well as how to clean and cut a chicken. The students will cook breakfasts, soups, main meals, vegies, salads, bread rolls, cake, muffins, scones and desserts, in total approx. 30 different items.
Includes: A 40-page Manual with all the recipes, tips and tricks, food terminology, shopping lists, menu planner, as well as a Certificate of Attendance, all ingredients as well as the use of our aprons.
