Kololo Game Reserve is named after the local Sotho word for the African antelope, the “klipspringer” (rock climber). Kololo is located in the South African province of Limpopo, in the heart of the Waterberg biosphere. Partially integrated into Welgevonden Private Game Reserve, Kololo offers the Big 5 experience in combination with accommodation in a luxurious lodge where only the “safe” wildlife roams free. The private gate near the reception offers direct access into Welgevonden Game Reserve. Kololo is malaria-free area and home to a large variety of game. One of the highlights of staying in Kololo is a visit to Welgevonden and a possibility of seeing the Big 5 - lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo - or enjoy a sneak preview over the fence, from the comfort of your chalet at Kololo.
