Hopscotch Preschool is a small, home away from home environment where children can play, learn, make friends and have fun. I have been working with children for over 20 years (have a playschool in Port Elizabeth which is in it's 16th year) I strive to help young children value themselves and to boost their confidence which they will carry forever. Hopscotch Preschool runs a detailed morning programme, breakfast, snacks and a delicious lunch is provided. Children are required to bring a change of clothes, their preferred beverage, nappies and wet wipes. Suncream will be required during the Summer months. Parents are to please be mindful of the parking area outside and to make sure no one parks infront of a neighbours gate. Hopscotch Preschool opens at 7:30am and closes at 5:00pm. Please do not bring your child to school if he / she is unwell. Children are introduced to theme work each week, they will participate in arts & crafts, singing, dancing, reading and much more. On some days, the chidlren might want to relax and just play....and that is ok! Please make sure I have been notified of a change of routine at pickup, we won't allow a child to go home with someone we don't know. Hopscotch Preschool will be offering extra mural activities. I am passionate about child care and enriching little minds and hearts, I thoroughly enjoy young children's humour and joyfullness. I find it an absolute blessing that I have been, and continue to be, involved in foundation education and development.
I believe young children need space to express themselves and to enjoy playtime, this is where they learn the most! If we can encourage children with kind words, a nurturing environment and lots of love and show them that we are proud of their achievements, they can only be filled with pride and a sense of belonging.
