We offer roller skating classes from beginner to advanced, focusing on artistic, figure and free-style/dance. We are assisted by a Roller skating judge.
Adults are also welcomed to join.
Classes are on a Sunday mid-day only, 12:00 - 13:30. The hall is open from 11:30 - 14:00
A standard program is followed for beginners going through different levels, from beginners that have never skated before. These levels are used internationally. Skaters can only move on to the next level by passing the previous level. The standard time for a beginner skater to progress from one level to the next is 6-8 weeks.
We have been coaching since 2013, and in 2015 the then KZN Club entered a Junior Artistic team in the South African Artistic Roller Skating Championships. This team placed second overall in the Junior category.
Roller skating is recognised as an official sport in South Africa, and Roller Sport South Africa is the controlling body.
Skaters are encouraged to be creative in their own right and incoporate their dancing skills into the sport.
