Description
Eastern Suburbs Pre-Primary School was established in 1937 to provide quality early learning development to children in Pretoria. The school offers daycare for babies from 3 months and pre-school for children from 1 year to Grade R. The school has qualified teachers and assistants. Included in the fees are 2 full meals, breakfast and lunch, as well as two snacks per day. We are open from 6:30 am - 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday and remain open during the school holidays, only closing in December when the public schools close. Additional extra murals are offered such as Playball, ballet , soccer, swimming lessons and drama. We have a play therapist and speech therapist that work from the school. We believe that children learn best through play and this is the core of our teaching philosophy. We have cameras in all the classrooms and parents can at any time log in and see how their children are doing. With spacious grounds and big airy classrooms, this is a school every child will love. The school has solar installed and is therefore not affected at all by loadshedding. Eastern Suburbs Pre-Primary School is an NPO and is managed by a board of parents.

    What a GEM!!!
    My little one started at ESPS back in 2019, and I must admit that I have seen the positive change (from the fussy eater she was, to now enjoying different foods; mastering the potty training; her construction of sentences; and the manner in which she conducts herself around her peers)! Its so heart-warming and encouraging - especially with her confidence growing all the time! I mostly also enjoy how warm and loving the teachers are towards the kiddies - thank you ESPS and keep up the good work!

    The Best of the Best
    Eastern Suburb Pre-Primary School (ESPS - my child loves to shout out the full name of her pre-school every time we drive into the property) is hands down the best pre-school within the Pretoria region. From the moment you walk through the gates, you can sense the air of tradition and experience: the consistent communication from the pre-school is impressive, the wealth of qualified experienced teachers is commendable, the variety of facilities offered at this pre-school is unmatched and the understanding of age-appropriate learning is appreciated. My child has grown so much since enrolling her at ESPS. I only have one child at the moment but you can bet your last rand that I will be enrol my next child at ESPS. My rating - 6 out of 5.

    Excellent place for learning
    My child attends Eastern Suburbs I feel like we coparent with the teachers there. They not only teach the children but they love and care about them. On top of that they even support us as parents with milestones e.g. potty training and have workshops. My child also has allergies which they assist us in managing. Love this ECD

    Excellent Pre-School
    My three children attended Eastern Suburbs Pre-Primary at different points between 2014 and 2020. They all thoroughly enjoyed every school day and loved their teachers. The learn-through-play philosophy laid an excellent foundation for Grade 1, and they were well-prepared for everything that Grade 1 required. Every school day included play in the large garden with swings, bikes, balls etc., age-appropriate art projects, and stories. I highly recommend this school.
