Celeste Kusel, experienced Music Teacher offers the following classes at her studio in Wierdapark, Centurion:

1. Children from grade R to Gr 3. The Music for Little Mozart's series is used. It has been written to teach the child the skills of playing the piano as well as developing their musical hearing. The books are age-appropriate, child-centered and lots of fun to work from.
2. Primary School Learners: Every child is individually assessed on their capabilities and previous music learning experience. A tailor-made tutor, mostly from the Alfred series is then prescribed. Our viewpoint is holistic musical growth incorporating skills like Technic and Sight-reading in our lessons. It is very important that the student enjoys their music learning experience.
3. Teens and adults: A specially designed course is offered to the older beginner. The Adult-All-In-One Course is an accelerated learning experience. Within a few lessons learners are able to play with both hands.
4. The studio also offers lessons in keyboard and recorder. With the keyboard the musician has a whole orchestra at his finger tips.
5. The recorder is a simple instrument that is very helpful in learning to read notes. It also has a wide solo repertoire especially in the modern period.

The studio offers its learners opportunities to grow as artists. We do 2 professional concerts per year in which all the learners have the opportunity to perform for their family and friends. This year we will, Covid measures permitting, take part in the Artisticulta Music Festival where learners are evaluated, given good advice and earn a medal as well. For more experienced learners preparation for exams hosted by UNISA and Trinity College of London are offered.
