Dave and Judy welcome you to Avoca River Cabins. Avoca, meaning “The meeting of the water”, is situated in the beautiful Sundays River Valley. This operational citrus farm has self-catering Riverside chalets, a Tree Tops Cottage, semi detached units and Mud Huts in tranquil surroundings. We are 20 minutes from the Addo Elephant National Park. Take a plunge into the river, do some fishing, or paddle on a canoe. Children's activities include trampoline, jungle gym and swimming pool. Ideal for nature lovers and birdwatchers! Children welcome!

The property is about 70km from Port Elizabeth. Self-catering units are equipped with basic kitchen items so that you can cook for your selves. Or there are local restaurants where you can spoil your selves and eat out. Kirkwood is a local village where you can do grocery shopping.

The farm offers two venues for conferencing and weddings. It would be great if you would come out to the farm so as to have a look around. Contact us to set up a meeting or opportunity to view accommodation and venues. One of our more exciting facilities is a 10 seater game viewer. This affords you the chance to get on to a guided tour in to the Addo Elephant National Park.

Here on the farm you can try your hand at some fresh water fishing, or bring your binoculars along for birding. There are canoes down on the river. One could go for a swim in the river or in the swimming pool on one of those hot summer days. Children can make use of the play grounds and jungle gym.

Local activities include the Addo Elephant National Park, Adrenalin Addo with its double zip-line and giant swing as well as Daniell Cheetah Breeding Camp. A local adventure company provides options for guided tours in the National Park, quad biking and canoe based river safaris on the Sunday's River.
