Is your child experiencing difficulties reading, learning and retaining information? The 5 Senses Creative Exploration Centre (CEC) focuses on working with children on an individual basis towards specific academic goals. Using a variety of tools and sensory stimulation activities, we will work with your child to identify their strengths in order to help familiarise them with certain outcomes. We will assist them regarding learning how to study, what techniques to use, and how to find creative ways to retain information.
Anti Bullying - Self Esteem Workshops
Event price: R200 to R500
Price details: Cost R250 per workshop. Wednesdays 2 - 4pm
Age group accepted: 5-8 year old, 8-10 year old, 10-12 year old
Is your child being bullied and needs constant reinforcement? This workshop focuses on supporting children in the development of their personal identities - who they are, how to communicate in constructive ways, and how to manage emotions such as anger and sadness. Workshops will also focus on social pressures, fitting in and learning to recognize and embrace their uniqueness. Over a 4 week period, your child will discover creative and constructive ways to express themselves and their emotions, and learn to personally affirm themselves in order to help them stand up to bullies. Pottery Classes
Event price: R200 to R500
Price details: Classes cost R400 a month for two lessons and includes glazes, firing and the use of child-friendly tools. Classes will be facilitated on Saturday mornings from 10 to 12:00pm.

Parental Supervision: Option
The 5 Sense Creative Exploration Centre (CEC) is now offering pottery classes for both children and adults. Catering for children from as young as 4 years old, and while using clay, we focus on the development of their fine motor skills and stimulate their other senses of touch, smell, sight and sound. We also use these activities conjointly with skills of mindfulness and meditation, as children are encouraged to explore their personal creativity in a healthy environment. Children have the option of choosing classes twice or four times a month and will be supported in their creative explorations. Starting from the 5 October - we hope to welcome this whole new facility to our holistic art and creative centre.
