The Okinawa Goju Ryu Kenkyukai is a global Karate organisation set up to promote research into the practical application of Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate, Kata and technique. It was instituted by Taira Masaji Sensei, to provide a collaborative learning group of like-minded practitioners to collectively advance in Karate. Our branches in South Africa is currently located in KZN, Durban. We teach the following age groups. Kubs 5 - 8 Years old Juniors 9 - 14 Years old Teens & Adults 15 - 75 Years old. We specialize in classical Karate Do and Okinawan Kobudo (Weapons) through consistent training of technique, speed, strength, discipline and determination! We also offer Competitive Karate classes. Registrations are now open for swimming lessons in 2024. The lessons we offer include Learn-to-Swim, Stroke Development, Multisport fitness and Competitive swimming. NOTE: For children under the age of 10 and for children who are still learning to swim, both the Parent and child need to be members of Virgin Active, Stellenbosch.
